Wake up call..

"Knock knock.."
"Who's there?"
"Malikul Maut (Angel of Death)"
."Malikul whoo?!!!"
.....................(leads to an un-ending silence)

Where my previous post was about realizing that it's never too late to change, this one is about how soon you should realize the need to change!

Ofcourse I was further inspired to write this post because of my new fascination for embedding video clips on my post! (LOL) So i just found the most perfect Video clipping for this blog post.

I can only re-inforce the idea with this video clip because we all know that Death comes upon humans regardless of age, time and event. Hence, this video will only wake us up if only we havnt woken our souls up with the happenings around us, the sudden deaths around us..

We need to remind ourselves that it could've just been us - and we have still been given time; but even so, we should count every moment as our last. We need to keep asking ourselves what could we rather be doing than wasting 'every breath that takes us closer to death'? (ref. to hadith of Imam Ali A.S)

Additionally, I'd like to point out the importance of performing our Waajibaat on time - before we lose out on the opportunity. We often take for granted the time when we hear the Adhaan (call for prayer) and moreover, the 'qadha time' of Salaat - till which we delay our salaat for every other thing.. Similarly, we take for granted our lives even when we are Mustatee' (physically and financially able) to perform the Hajj, thinking we can just do it sometime later in life.. similarly, for all the times we said "oh SOMEDAY, I will stop listening to Music', or "SOMEDAY, I will adorn the Hijaab"...

How many similar 'unresolved' resolutions - all pending to be fixed at our own pace and convenience, without realizing the uncertainty of what might head our way the very next instance!

What if, someday, Death knocks on your door - when you have your Bulletin board full of all these pending things to do; what good are those post-it notes on your p.c. monitor, when you can't even tell what you are liable to face the very next second?

Let's pray that Allah (SWT) grants us the taufeeq to live every second as though it's our last - in remembrance of Allah (SWT), watching everything we do while we pave our way towards success in this World as well as our Aakhirah!

The following is the video I would like you all to watch. A commercial titled:

Pray before Death overcomes you

however the video doesnt seem to be working over here, when i press the play button..nothings happening. Could you please check it? possibly it hasnt uploaded properly!

InshaAllah i pray that we are all able to implement our good resolutions right away and put off any act that might displease Allah to another day (which never comes).
